The Parish Finance Committee is established under Canon Law to advise the Parish Priest on administering parish finances and on planning future capital works. Other duties of the Committee include ensuring that income is maintained at a level that will enable the parish to meet its fixed financial commitments, providing adequate finance for maintenance of the Parish plant, reviewing monthly budget figures and submitting an annual report to the Chancery Accountant. The Finance Committee consists of two ex-officio members (Parish Priest and Parish Counter who is responsible for administration of Planned Giving), five ordinary members and Parish Secretary.
Counters
COUNTERS A group of men and women who count the second (Planned Giving) collection on a rostered basis. Each group has four to six members and counts approximately once every nine weeks. A small group of very dedicated parishioners balance and bank the monies every week. Special Appeals, such as Charitable Works Fund and Project Compassion are also handled by this group.
