St Anthony's is a single stream co-educational Catholic primary school with a population of 215 students who are drawn from diverse socio economic backgrounds. The percentage of children with a language background other than English is 52%. The school has eight classrooms, an administration building and a library, two demountable classrooms and a school/parish hall. The playing area consists of two large ovals, one for primary children and the other for infants and an asphalt playground. The asphalt area has many handball courts that are used by the children on a rostered basis.
The staff consists of a Principal; 9 classroom teachers including the Assistant Principal, Religious Education Co-ordinator ; the Teacher-Librarian; the Special Education teacher and assistant; the English as a Second Language teacher; specialist Music, Italian and Physical Education teachers; the Secretary and Clerical Support.
The school is committed to the provision of quality Religious Education and enjoys a rich liturgical life, which is enhanced by the link between school and parish and outreach to the wider community.
The staff provide the students with a dynamic curriculum, to promote quality teaching and learning, which is supported by a variety of extra-curricular activities. These include the Band, school excursions, live performances, visits to cultural events like the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, art and museum exhibits, Computer Studies, Science, English, and Mathematics competitions, Public Speaking Competition and a number of Inter-School Sport Competitions.
In 2006, under the direction of the Catholic Education Office, the school underwent an upgrade which included a major renovation of existing buildings and addition of a new Library, Administration Block, new Toilet Block, new Undercroft, and construction of storage areas.
